View Full Version : D-Link DI-524 Rev. C 3.02 Router Firmware?

I foolishly upgraded my firmware for my D-Link DI-524 router from 3.02 to 3.23 and my router has become much less stable. Under the old firmware it was rock solid for almost 5 years with rarely a reboot. With the new firmware it reboots after several hours.

The D-Link support site doesn't have the 3.02 firmware anymore and I was wondering if someone could upload it or direct me to a place to find it? I'm just looking to get back to the stability before, since according to posts at dslreports the 3.2x firmwares for the DI-524 cause instability.

might have a look at this thread... i know its not exactly what you want but it looks like you can go to other firmwares as well.

I'm thinking of possibly doing that, but I'm trying to see if I can go back to 3.02 before trying something different because the router was tremendously stable with that firmware.

EDIT: After reading through that entire thread you provided, someone provided a link to the French D-Link site, probably the only place left with the 3.02 firmware!

Good idea. From what I've heard it's the only decent firmware for the DI-524 (3.20 and 3.23 create instabilities).

You can find other firmware for the other revisions and the 3.01 firmware for Rev C here:

awesome normally i wouldnt condone a BRAND new member to attach a zip file. But its the same one on dlink's site and i scanned the one attached and its all good and clear.

You might consider doing the firmware upgrades to the DI-624 or the newer one as well... could offer some benefits.
