False alarm...I just wanted to show you my bong cooler setup.
Complete - with a 2gallon reservoir it stands 21in tall I am using a Maze2 water block and a Eheim 1250 plus my custom 7ft (uncoiled) 1.4lb copper coil.

pic?
the coil with a setup to expand the water surface area for better cooling.
This isnt the way is was setup when I was getting 36c in prime after hours of burning in I took it apart for pics and this is close I actually had the screen covering almost all the coils. After this I tried to put it together correctly and I ripped the purple screen so its setup a little different the tems only went up 1c though.

hey that looks very nice!
i want to make a bong cooler sometime instead of a rad....

a view of the water being spread out if you can see it...
and directly inside my pc

which way your bong fan blow?
Its blowing into the 'T' so air is coming out the top of the bong. If I reverse the airflow the fan sucks out water a bit messy...

Nice job !

Job Well Done jbslow!
Can I ask, however, what you are using as
a reservoir? It looks like a plant pot?
Its a drain res. I found at homedepot it was the 9in x 9in model they sell a larger collection drain I think the other was 12in x 12in.
I bought to plugs for the side openings and silconed them into place.
A close up on my fan (I used to much hot glue)
This is the profile of the bong unsubmerged I cut out three large trianges one in front and one from each side (left and right in pic).
and just because I have a pic the base I used this for better balance and to raise the bong so it was level with my case.

very nice. if it was aircooled, wut kinda temperatures would
you be getting?
Its about 10c cooler then my hsf but the most important part is the overclock increased and the noise level decreased.
jbslow, you should write an article for the overclockers.com page. i think your bong setup deserves recognition and people can learn from how you did your mods. very nice work.

Very nice! And very similar to mine, I might add! Got a 24" black bong also hooked up to a Maze 2...my pump is only a Rio, though, :p

Very nice set up. I really think you should write an article and submit it to Joe (joecitarella@sprintmail.com) . There aren't very many good articles on bong cooling. It would be a great addition. What are your temperatures? Did I miss them somewhere?

That's a sweet and clean setup man. How does the bong sound?
The bong is silent the only this I hear are the fans.
I'm getting 36c loading now this is with the XP @ 1.81Ghz and 1.9v. The temps are up a couple of degrees right now. I've been lazy and have used tap water now I have major build up on my coil I can imagine the block is the same. I've also switched over to AS3 maybe that is the cause for the temp increase.

Nope its silent like I said the fans are noisier then the bong.
Take notice of the netting I have on the coil this expands the water for better cooling along with dampening the innoying "Man Peeing" sound you would normally expect with a bong.
Maintaning a bong sucks though...

Well I found I need to add water every day the system uses up one gallon of water every day atleast when you leave it running 24/7. It holds two gallons all together (pressurized). It would be nice to upgrade the reservior so I could atleast leave the system alone for 2 days. Other then the basic add water "chore" I rip the rig apart ever 3-4 weeks and clean the res. , bong and the coil/netting there's lots of dust here. Its not a big deal I suppose but I'm still going to make a radiator setup so I can stop the day to day maintenence crapola.

hoq od you control rust? Youc an't keep dumping in Water Wetter
The water wetter won't evaporate (at least it shouldn't). One problem you might have is mineral deposits because you are adding more water and minerals or solids every refil. Only the water evaporates. This should be easy to clean because everythign will settle at the bottom.

I dont worry about rust , corrosion maybe. I dont think water wetter should be used in an evalorative cooler. I used deionized water for quiet awhile but then... The tap water in the valley is "hard" so theres alot of mineral deposits forming all over my coil ince the switch I know the block is suffering the same.
Just take a look here even the holes are full of junk :(

ewwwwwww
I would not be able to do that. If I do, Windows will crash
frequently if lucky and Windows would often lock up on booting!!!!!! I will get the blue screens of death often if
I undervolt!!!!!!
