I just wanna be clear on the rule of thumb for entries to the overclocker database, and this may sound stupid, but I assume we are looking for the highest STABLE overclock where the system is of an everyday usable state?

Meaning, if I've got a system in a styrofoam cooler packed in dry ice, the system's results are not 'disirable' for the database, correct?

Now back to obnoxious overclocking!!:p

Well alot of people know that, just that they like to show off that they can get an unstable speed of X. You should post whats stable for you so other users won't get mixed up whether the chip is a good chip or not or if they wanted to know specific information as if the week 46 chips were good etc.

Yes I believe you are right. I'm on the database, made sure I was stable for a week at least before entering results. Since then I've backed down a little, cooling issue wouldn't you know. How do you update though? At higher stable speed natch. love those stars yodums congrats.

I believed that was the basis of the database since the highest stable overclock seems to be the montra of this site. I guess my reason for posting was to reinforce that idea for others since it isn't exactly spelled out in so many words on the CPU Database page. Not that I think that there seems to be a rash problem of 'bloated' overclocks, but it never hurts to say so.

I don't believe that there's a method to edit your info once posted either.
