I think it means there out of stock but dont quote me on that.
I never use the web service, I always call to speak to a live person and request cross ship RMA, you get your board in 3 days and then you send yours out after the new one arrives.

call them and be very polite but firm and request an upgrade, I got a Maximus II P45 when they were out of Maximus X38 boards

Is this for the REX? As it is out of production they'd probably give you and upgrade but I know that is not what you want 
I have been fortunate with a couple of Asus RMA's that came through quickly, rather use the inline chat, works much better than e-mail or even phone.
