Welcome to the forums!!!!!!
Here's a link to the beginner's guides (http://overclockers.com/topiclist/index04.asp#BEGINNER GUIDES). It's not a quick thing, and there's a significant risk involved. That risk is minimized when you know what you're doing, when you take the proper precautions and when you buy good equipment.
Take the time to wade through the guides, and you're likely to have a great experience overclocking.
The major things to look for are stability testing, unlocking, RAM timings and FSB/multiplier adjustment.
Happy reading,
IdeaMagnate
BTW, you'll find that we don't treat newbies here like many ot[H]er sites do. You'll find a very well-informed and helpful group here, and I hope you stick around a while.

Hey welcome to the forums! I think you'll find that you can obatain a lot of knowledge by just hanging around here and checking a few threads now and then! As far as overclocking goes you might want to check this (http://www.overclockers.com/topiclist/index04.asp#BEGINNER GUIDES) here. It's a great place to see what overclocking's all about and what is involved in it. I would suggest reading them all to get a good start. Then, if you have any questions you can come back to post them. After a while you will learn more fully how these forums are organized. Verry few don't like how they are but i think you'll see that it really is to everyone's benefit. If you have any more questions feel free to ask and i'm sure anyone here will be willing to help.:)

EDIT: Dang it IdeaMagnate you post to fast :p ;) BTW i noticed your avatar. Is that from the game Breath of Fire?
