I gotta Get H20 cooling for this P4 coming on Monday, The dang thing is Like an AMD as its putting out 75.3 watts
Well I got a Big Momma Radiator and dual Pumps, and trying to select a Socket 478 Waterblock but my choices are few and far between.
Anyone have any suggestions on a 478 waterblock?
**UPDATE GONNA USE THE WATERBLOCK SilversinkMaQer (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=65470) made for me, Ill just make a lexan mounting apparatus---
I completly forgot about the RainmaQer heatsink I had commisioned :)

Yodems, I wanted a Northwood but I had an opportunity to buy a P4 2ghz for $188 shipped so i bought it.
Sonny, I was going to just take an existing Block and Remove it's base and reapply a Silver base.. I don't have the equipment to make the channels onsite :( So I figured this was the easiest way to go.
I'll check into the mazeP4

Is it the 2.0 Williamette or 2.0a Northwood?
I would have dropped the offer for a 1.6a or 1.8a then for maybe 40 dollars more. Its all good a new chip :)

SilverSinkSam: why did you bother getting a heatsink when you are this close to watercooling? as for the block get a Z4 for www.overclockershideout.com or the Danger den Maze pent4 i dont know if there is anything else.

I am very close to watercooling indeed, heres the catch
I have a 10 day non DOA warranty on this particular Cpu and needed to personally test it. Plus the AVC cooler can be resold to someone at a discount, as I am Overclockers.com's worst trader!
Ask Binarysuperman or a few others I have sold stuff to. I have yet to learn the term Profit margin, as the Net loss is more my style :p
PS Thanks for that link Bro, much appreciated
Hmm.. I'll be certain to look for what Sam is selling hehe!

-Update- on the AVC Sunflower
I want to retract my statement that it's Noisy, When I tested it on my Desk the Hsf was a foot from my Ear. In the case its at about the same audible levels as a YS tech 26cfm 60mm.
Its actually doing a decent job cooling the 75.3 watts this P4 puts out.
Idle temps are 34* and Load its will hit up to 48*
In Socket probe, I'll hook my digital doc later as its been a long day today
Im still going H2o cooling but felt the need to retract my original observation.
