I guess I'm the odd ball that thinks all black is hideous. It seems a lot of manufacturers are going majority black color scheme...so much for uniqueness...

At least put another color in there and make it "black & something" instead of black on black on black, etc.

It's like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black.

I liked the blue and don't really care if it's black. As long as it works I will be happy.

I rather liked the blue theme too.
I also like the red/black of the rampage III extreme. All black is meh.
All black and UV reactive parts would be glorious.

I like it, and the blue and black also from msi and asus

Agreed!!!!

I got an idea though. I wonder if I can get a new board with all black, and then put a very light coating of something that is very UV reactive. Then put a UV light in the case.

<EDIT>

I am sure something like this has been done before, but I am gonna do some research. Imagine it in a HAF X. :)

^^ nice!

Yeah thats part of the reason I leaned on the Evga FTW mobo as it was all black in my 800d...

I hated to base my Mobo choice on color but after buying a Gig board, I found I detested the colors so much I wasn't getting another. So I welcome the change.:o

All it needs is some red.

I thought I was the only person who hated the blue. Gigabyte boards are some of the most feature packed boards on the planet. I love them, just can't see doing one in a windowed case where everything else is red.

I'm curious why you guys dislike the color blue or is it just blue Mobos?? Just curiousity, no judgment.

I don't dislike the color blue, but I've grown tired of it. Everything is blue. I want red for once, or just plain black. black works with everything!

i would rather have everything color coded, any color coding.
then a manuel that just says "plug it into the red one dummy" and "plug that into the green one"

I even want the different fan headers to be color coded.
the pink one CPU, the sky blue one Cha1 and the orange Cha2 go under fan control, the ones in fushia do not work with bios control.

I want those different Usb/firewire onboard connections to be different colors, 7-8 is cyan, and 9-10 is mauve firewire some other color.
(if you plug a USB into a firewire one they say it can Fry something)

i want the Audio connector which looks the same to be crimson.
connect audio header wire to the bloody red connector.

PCI-E 16 slots are brown, when shared 16 lane they are tan, and if they have less than 8 lanes ever they are white

Buss mastering PCI slots , a different color than non buss mastering .

etc

if it was a nice blue, not baby blue with lime green red and yellow, it might be ok....
black is nice, I dont want to draw attention to one place in general and with pokebyte boards I find you cant stop staring at the god color sceme

Am I the only one who doesn't care? Once it's in the case, it might as well be invisible. Just make the PCB whatever color is cheapest and pass the savings on to me

Given the nature of mass production, cheapest often is what sells. If it doesn't sell, enough doesn't get made to save money on parts, production and quality assurance. Cheap stuff sells. Stuff that sells tends to get cheaper.

:blah:

How many people do you know that would buy a board on looks alone? How many people do you know, having seen two boxes, would buy the ass ugly one over one that LOOKED like it was made better? The masses have spoken and black it is, and gigabyte is giving us what we want. Guess what? More will buy gigabyte, in fact on color alone we'll see gigabyte stealing evga's sales.

That means a cheaper board for you since more will buy GB. That being SAID... it doesn't mean that if it's popular they won't invoke the right of supply and demand and up the price.

I won't buy a black mobo so Gigabyte had better keep the black PCB for the over-priced mobo models. ;)

Black is cool but i think that should of added some more colors.

They could sell it in Pink and Avocado, and i would still proudly mount. Havent you guys seen the thread where some "PC Guru" decided to use wood screws to secure his cpu? It went right through the mobo into the case. They removed the woodscrew and mounted it correctly, and it STILL WORKED!

If it's good enough for OC forums, it's good enough for Gigabyte. Besides, they'll make a board in any color you like, as long as it's black...

Love the colour scheme of it, hopefully they overclock as good as they look.

I agree with that 100%.
If Pokebyte goes black PCB for all there high(er) end boards then I will jump the Asus ship for my next mobo purchase.
