View Full Version : 460 gtx sli or 470 gts and 9800gtx for physx?
ok im trying to decide on ether getting one 470 gtx evea and using one of my 9800 gtx for physx or getting two 460's and running sli again.from what i have read the 460's sli will get more fps but have no dedicated physx and there is always that slight slow input response when running sli.also if i get the 470 i can always go sli with it later when i can afford another one.my mobo will run 3 cards but my psu wouldn't so i would have to upgrade that to then....any input would be greatly appreciated to help me in my decision i can do ether for about the same cost.

What resolution do you game at? So long as its below 2560x1600 (30"), you will be fine with one card (470) and less hassle.
As far as the PhysX, that can run on one card or the two 460's...
thanks for the reply's i game at 1920x1080 on a 42",yea im leaning towards the 470 the 460 does have one more benefit also tho it has a newer core design that uses less power and runs cooler but one con it cant do a three way sli,so im still leaning towards the 470 and even debating on a 480 but that's another $200 for not that much more power.
