Fresh build, can't get online.

Ok, so I just finished my first computer, threw in my D-Link USB modem, copied over the drivers, and tried hooking to the net. It's not even connecting to my home computer, and then tells me its an unidentified network and that 'Wireless Network Connection" doesnt have a valid IP configuration.

Help? I'm running win7 64 bit.

Welcome! Sorry for the delay in the reply, but you did post in the middle of the night!!!!

Copied over the drivers? Go find the newest ones online and try those. Also try flushing your current IP and getting another see if that helps.

I would love to get the drivers online but I can't get online, though the ones that I put on there I downloaded from the net, so they should work, im hoping. Here is a SC of my ipconfig, if that helps:

Yeha, flush that on your current PC. And if you are online now, you can get the newest drivers for them, stick it on a flash drive and install from there on the non online PC.

I can put it together, but I have no idea exactly how to do this flush thing you speak of, lol. Sorry!

.. I am thus an idiot. I downloaded the wrong drivers before, or rather for a different version of my modem. Thanks!
