Your thoughts?

Not sure what to think... I can't use the new espn3 cause my isp isn't part of the paid network. :bang head

After some use it is way to white and plain. WTF did they think they were doing with this dashboard?

I haven't had a chance to use it much yet, but I agree 100% too much white it hurts my head.

They finally activated the new anti protection 2.5 for newer games, so it knows if drive is flashed and stops game from working

I also think there is too much white in the new dashboard. I called support regarding this, and found that unfortunately, there is not currently a way to change it. I did file a complaint with them via phone, and they said they appreciated my feedback.

I posted a thread on the xbox forums (http://forums.xbox.com/34858970/ShowPost.aspx#34858970) with more details on my complaint call if anyone is interested.

In my experience supporting software, the more people who file complaints, the more likely the changes of getting a fix.

Been meaning to update to it just haven't had the time so far. Plan on do hopefully doing it tonight. Would like to see whats up with the ESPN3 deal.

Though with a lot of white... really not looking forward to it. Is there still themes that work from previous builds? Me I'd like a darker look all around, but thats me and I know they like green.

ESPN = win. Other than that...entirely too much white. It does feel a bit snappier...or maybe I'm just imagining things.

It makes my head hurt :( I think they just changed it to match their phone gui and have a common interface across all of their services. Personally I think all of the squares are ugly. I was much happier with the previous interface. Although it definitely does seem like its a bit faster.

on the upside the tiles seem to move alot smoother than they used to.

It really doesn't look that different to me. My tiles are white now instead of textured and it's a little boring in that way, but it doesn't seem like a huge redesign to me. Seems like a skin to make it match with thier phone, nothing like the former redesign where the entire gui changed.

Wish they would come up with a way to customize the tiles. Add/Remove cause the espn,tweeter and facebook tiles are useless to me. Also a way of changing the color scheme, cause when playing at night for a few hours and hit the xbox button you go blind.:shock:

I'd love to have a custom menu that lets me put the stuff I want to access right away. The ESPN3 thing is pretty slick, I like that. Sure I could do it on the PC but the TV is so much better for watching sports stuff on.

Though the white..... there has to be a premium theme out there that changes that.... PLEASE! Something dark, maybe there is a setting somewhere to change it and they aren't telling us. Hopeful thinking right?

If only they stayed with the blade style dashboard it was so easy to use and it didn't need to be changed they could of just added ESPN to the media blade etc.

What white? I don't know what you all are complaining about.

I finally got on my 360 and updated it... and it looks the exact same as it always did. I still have my nice, everything dark/greys/blues theme (using a Magic: The Gathering theme i downloaded for it).

Like I said... What white?

It literally makes my eyes bleed - for some reason its as appealing and feels like Internet Explorer6 (Call me weird) but I liked the old one *shrug*

I still want to know what white you all are talking about. I got the update and there was 0 white.

I just helped my little 10 year old cousin update his 360 after an afternoon of troubleshooting internet connection issues and he had the standard default background and there was 0 white or glaring ugliness.

I honestly wonder what you all are talking about.

I think the tiles swipe faster but I liked the depth and illusion of space having the tiles skewed before gave, felt like I was seeing more. I'm sure the change has to do with Kinect since you can have your hands control the menus, swiping side to side makes sense but would be awkward to go forwards and back along the Z-plane.
