FF14 character name change

Is this possible to do? I made a name that i dont like, started off as a practice get to know the game character so i made some bs name, but i wanna keep him now lol. So is there a way to change my characters name?

Hey there.... well I can comment on FF14 yet as I am building my rig. If it is anything like FF11 though the only way to change your name was to switch servers which I dont believe that is possible at the moment on FF14. If the name is somewhat offensive they can make you change it if you report yourself. Otherwise you may be stuck with it :(

I highly doubt that there is a paid service for name changes in FFXIV if they are still in the pay-for-beta phase. If not, report yourself by saying your name is a racial slur or something and you don't want to get in trouble down the line. Worked in other games, can't imagine it not working in FFXIV.

Ya I had a forced name change yesterday in WoW. I just changed it to "RacialSlur". Stick that in your pipe and smoke it you care bear lol.

Thats a good one lol. My wife and I were debating what to change it to and we both agreed this would be the least likely to get me banned.
