Stuck at PCIE x8

Recently upgraded from radeon 4870s to a gtx 460 (rig in signature). Never had the issue previously, but I'm now stuck at PCIe x8 rather than x16 (as reported in the bios & confirmed via GPU-z). I've never troubleshooted an issue like this before, any suggestions? Perhaps a bios update?

Try resetting the CMOS and see if that helps. Good thing is you arent going to lose a bit of performance with it that way.

I would suggest a BIOS update. Other than that I wouldn't honestly worry too much, you probably won't miss anything with x8.
