P5Q BIOS

This is my first post. I'm attempting to repair/upgrade my desktop that has a dead Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe. I want to reuse my 4GB of Corsair 800 MHz DDR2. I'm considering a P5Q and a Q8400 with the possibility of overclocking to 3.2 GHz. The P5Q I'm looking at has BIOS 1306. According to the Asus website, BIOS 1306 is OK for the Q8300. BIOS 2002 is needed for the Q8400.

Does anyone know if a P5Q with BIOS 1306 will boot with a Q8400? Thanks

Checking ark.intel and looking at the s-specs, they are both the same s-spec. But as for it booting with the Q8400 with that older bios, I don't know. Do you know anyone who has an old 775 chip you can borrow?
