2 Questions for y'all:

1. Can you get a Powerleap without a CPU? I can't seem to find anything on their site about it, and can't find a "naked" one anywhere.

2. Any word on the Iwill SlocketIII? Found one for $9 new.

I've found plenty of generic ones, but I'd rather go with a name I know/trust.

After seeing my GF's Celeron (see sig) Fold ALL OVER my PIII, I've got the itch to try out a Tually, maybe a 1.0A. I'd like to stick with my P3B-F for a little while (I kinda like it).

Any thoughts?

My bad, I was in a rush this morning. That's a Super Slocket III, not an Iwill Slocket II.

I am using one of those SS-III slocket (from Mwave.com, right?). No voltage control like some of the slockets is the only gripe I have; shouldn't be a problem if the BIOS on your mobo can control voltage. Does have settings for 66/100/133/AUTO FSB speeds and a setting for single or dual CPUs. Can't tell ya how well it does when OCing since I haven't spent any significant time in such an endeavor.

I believe PowerLeap only sells with the Tually.

Iwill Slotket isn't bad, at least way better than generic, and at least supports the CPU unlike generic. For 9 dollars, go for it.

I thought Powerleap was the only slocket that does and they include the cpu because they have to make some mod to the cpu pins.

The Iwill Slocket II doesn't support Tually's. I did see a "Slocket III" on the Iwill sight, but there was no info on it, maybe Tually support in the future?

I'm kinda lookin' for one with voltage control, and I would really like a Tually, SO...

I guess I'm stuck with the Powerleap ($169), but for 11$ more I can get a whole new mobo/cpu. ST6 and Taully 1.2A = $181. And I get ATA 100 to boot. Decisions, Decisions...

It may just be time to retire the ol' 440BX, I could delegate it to gateway duties.

Thanx for the input!
