Hey everyone,

I'm returning from a long hiatus from these forums and more specifically SETI and my contributions to the team (however large or small they may be). I've done some work on my computer as of late and hope to get myself back into the ranks shortly. Just figured I'd put that out there since I've missed this community though somehow forgotten about it for some time now.

Awesome. We're glad to have you back. If the setup in your sig is still up to date, it should put up some decent numbers. Be sure to check out the optimization sticky at the top of the SETI forum, and feel free to let us know if you have any problems.

Welcome back! :)

Here's the link to installation and optimization v--v--v

Ice, your posting of the sticky link didn't come through very well, but i think you meant Sticky: Instructions for Installing and Optimizing BOINC for Windows (http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=625171), right?

Yeah, he meant that one, but what he posted were arrows pointing to the link he has in is sig. It goes to the thread you linked to. That's what he gets for being lazy I guess.

And the sad part is I originally did post the link, then edited it to say "click Upgrade those optimizers!!! below", then edited again to show the arrows. LOL! :bang head:

Haha, that's the problem I've always had with communicating on the internet. It seems clever to one person and then someone else doesn't get it. That's why I try limiting myself to plain English descriptions in my online postings, but then I come off as a prick sometimes. Can't win for losing I guess.

Haha well now that i know what to look for yeah, i can see that they were arrows. Guess i wasn't expecting clever so didn't see clever... that and I'm old.

Hah thanks guys! I also got a Core i7 950 system with 2xGTX 260's I built for a friend for a month which should do some kick ass number crunching. And I've been running optimizers for ages, made sure I updated to the latest versions of everything. :)
