View Full Version : What to expect from Ti4600?
I'm a pretty serious gamer(Rogue Spear, Civ series), and am currently running a GF2 MX400 card. The memory is SDRAM and only runs about 180 max, the core speed I have clocked to 235, but it won't go any higher. I have prepaid for my Ti4600 as I thought it may be time to upgrade and I was wondering what kind of gains I should see in my games? I heard that I'll be able to run FSAA all the time with no lag, and that should be pretty sweet. The rest of my setup is a P4 1.7GhZ and 1gig PC800 RDRAM, so what do you think I can expect from the Ti4600?
I would say about at least a 100% improvement. I would say about a 3d mark score of about 8000 or so. I greedily look forward to there release.
I'd be disappointed with 8000. I've read some early benches of stock Ti's hitting 10k without a hitch. They've kind of got my expectations set pretty high so I hope the card lives up to it.
I looked on THG, and with a P4 2.2 they his over 10,000. But your system is a little different.
A little different, but I'm actual giving this system to my sister as a wedding present and building a new Northwood system for myself. I should have that system up by June or July, hopefully the Northwoods will drop in price a little by then too.
