I've recently built a new rig and it's the first with relevant hardware that has overclocking potential. That's why I'm here.

I've never overclocked any computer hardware before so this will be a new experience. Happy to be here.

Also, does this forum have an IRC channel or know of any good IRC channels that discuss overclocking?

nVidia GeForce GTX 470
3 X 2GB 1146MHz Corsair RAM
750 W Corsair
1 TB Seagate 7200 RPM

Redduc900 has helpedme OC so far. I've yet to complete a successful OC on my own but I will. I joined folding team 32 and I put out about 1600 PPD. I fold on my CPU and my GPU. Im happy to be contributing to disease research and Im happy to be apart of this community.
