Ok, so the place I used to work got a box of 30+ Ati Rage Pro's ranging in manufacture date in 1997-1999. Some of them include Ati Rage Pro PCI 8meg, Ati Rage Pro LT, or Ati Rage Pro AGP, some with s-video out, some with some wierd-@$$ connector, and some with both S-vid and composite. I'm going to be using this in a dedicated DivX machine for TV-out.
1. Is this a good card for TV-out?
2. Would Win98SE be a good OS to use with the card?
3. Which of the three cards listed should I pick (I'm guessing there are even more types in the box) -- plus, keep in mind this is only being used for DivX playback through TV-out...
4. Am I just wasting time with this card? This will be my first ATI ever...

first of all, this reply has nothing to do with your question, i simply want to drop a friendly reminder that your temp is too high, considering a more aggresive cooling will be needed.

Thanks! I've found that the onboard monitor reads high (I have the thermal probe touching the processor, with a little thermal grease between the two), and haven't updated my sig with external probe temp readings (~30-40 C). I will do that.
Anyways, yeah, if anyone has any experience with these cards, please post.

I have the same board, and the same temperature readings. I still think i'm running hot though. I have a junk HSF.
Any of those cards sound OK for what you wanna do with it.
