I currently have the Asus P5KC motherboard, and im pretty new to ram types and what can support what. The specs from the motherboard are shown here:

http://www.asus.com/Product.aspx?P_ID=fFZ8oUIGmLpwNMjj&content=specifications

My question is simply this, can the ram OCZ Gold 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) run on my motherboard? I have a q6600 cpu atm and currently using 1g x 4 of DDR2-800mhz Ram. The ram specs that im looking to get is linked below:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227583

Nothing fancy really, just need some help on confirming my motherboard can use it.

Your Link to motherboard Specs...

Says this..."2 x DIMM, Max. 4 GB, DDR3 1333(O.C.)/1066/800 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory Dual Channel memory architecture" In an overclocked type mode DUE TO special tuning by ASUS. So that ram should work as it meets the criteria set forth by ASUS spec.

Hi ,
I have the same motherboard ASUS P5KC,Corsair VX2540W PSU, SAPPHIRE 260X 2GB Graphics Card,HDD WD 500GB Blue, with 8GB DDR3 RAM 1333MHZ, the ram that I chose is from transcend, You can tweak this motherboard to use the RAM beyond the manufacturer limit:)
