I have a i5 2500k with a Noctua NH-D14 cooler and CPUID Hardware Monitor is showing a CPUTIN temp of around 124C idle. My core temps average around 23C idle. Is this normal or should I be concerned? I have good cable management and a HAFX case.

I dont believe you are reading that 124 in celcius. Believe its in Fahrenheit.

Also, use RealTemp or CoreTemp to read your core temperatures.

If you were at 124c idle, your CPU would likely be fried already :)

Nope. I majored in chemistry, lol. Definitely celsius. And it was specifically the CPUTIN temp in CPUID Hardware Monitor that was 124C. Under load, my 4.1GHz OC 2500k has core temps of less than 50C so, I think that's fine. Just worried about that CPUTIN temp (Whatever that is) of 124C. Now, however, I can't find that temp listing in CPUID...odd.

Ah, nevermind. That version wasn't compatible with my new Sandy Bridge motherboard. Now I feel realllllllllly dumb.
