I had planned on grabbin 2 brand new 560s but my brother needs a new card and I could use some ddr3 1600 so Ill probably grab a 460 768mb, 560 and a 6gb kit of 1600. Then maybe snag another 560 later down the road.

very nice plans. GTX460 768mb do kinda seem like the sweat spot. 2 WU fermi and good prices.

I've taken the plunge and started the process of purchasing 2 new 460s (and related WC parts) so that I can run all 4 460s on my main rig. Going to see if i can move my current PSU over to my secondary rig so that I can add a second 470 over there. Not sure that will work, might be wrong mobo connector type.
That will pretty much be it for this year, I think.
Looks like you guys are setting up for some nice upgrades too, should be fun.

How could there be a power supply issue? I thought power supply were pretty universial.

Wanted one that was rated to run 4 gpus, found several that do. My current one is only rated to provide clean power to 2 GPUs, and would only have enough connections to run 3 with molex adapters and such.

Thought about building a small farm hosting, oh say, 8 mobo with Sandybridge CPUs, 2GB RAM each, all running linux of some kind. Then I saw the electric bill for this month.

adding just 1 (3rd PC, sig below) added almost $20 to the bill. This is without a dedicated monitor for the third PC. I could probably do without video card but I don't think there's that much difference.
