Upon installing windows 98 while attempting to copy setup files(before the gui setup screen) windows drops and says remove all disks and restart computer. And I continue to get the same message time and again. I've tried 2 diffenrt versions on windows 98. Only my video card is installed. This computer is for the navy base where I live. So if you know the navy..I'm in deep **** if I can't get this working like NOW!!.

Let me move this over to the Software and Operating Systems topic, where you are more likely to get the help you need...

Question....are you booting off the CD-Rom?? (ie, did you use the floppy that came w/ the Win98 cd, or just set up the puter to boot from the cd?

I did that once...part way thru, during one of the restarts...you need to go back into the BIOS and change the boot sequence to "A-C-CD".

Anyways...let's put this where you'll get some answers....;)

yes I am booting off the cd-rom drive. I will try the boot disk that came with the os, but I have another 8k7a+ mobo and never had any problems with a cd-rom boot install...
