It's been like 3 years but I decided to setup SETI on my three main rigs. I also have an ATI HD5870. Is there support for GPU computing on these yet? Still have to set up the 8800 on the old rig...

Hey, welcome back!
There are several optimized apps that have been pushed out for the ATI cards. I'm an nVidia guy, so double check that they're appropriate for your cards but here's the main download page for the apps: http://lunatics.kwsn.net/index.php?module=Downloads

I cant figure out how to install the ATI OpenCL thing from Lunatics...
I did find the APP SDK here: http://developer.amd.com/gpu/AMDAPPSDK/downloads/Pages/default.aspx
which lets the executables run, but I'm not sure where to put them. ProgramData folder or something after installing lunatics combined installer?

They're suggesting that the number crunching forum might have a bit more expertise to draw from regarding these ATI apps: Number Crunching (http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_forum.php?id=10). There may be some threads specifically about installing and creating the app_info.xml file that you'd need to set up as well.

Haha neither did I.
I looked through this a little bit and it seems as easy as just adding a section to the XML configuration file and plopping the executables into the correct folder. Note: the one with HD5 is for the HD5xxx cards.
