MY suggestion would be to use a jig saw first with a good fine tooth metal cutting blade and then use a 'Dremel" for the fine tuning. I cut a case for a friend of mine that way and it came out very nice. Just another thought - I also used his window as a template and undercut the line a little and then used the Dremel.
Go for it - Happy modding

Try PcMods (http://www.pcmods.com/department.asp?DepID=11) They have good kits and are around $30. I made my own and was only $6. Just use blue tape and draw your lines on the tape. I used a Dremel and they work great with reinforced cut off wheels. You might want to move this to Alternative Modding, u should get a better response.

I use my Dremel with cut-off inserts and they saw right through the case. Takes about 10 minutes to cut out a fan hole. Very crisp and clean edges too.
