msn messenger, updated, now it wont run for me!

i ran windowsupdate and downloaded all the availible patches, one was to upgrade msn messenger from 3.6 to 4.6 or something like that anyway.. well now it wont let me log on.. i've uninstalled and redownloaded 4.6 twice, and rebooted countless times.. what could be wrong??

This might be better in the software threads but anyways....Have you tried re-installing the older version and seeing if that works?

yeah, i reinstalled 3.6 finally.. and it works, but not the newest version... i dont know what could be wrong

Does 4.6 offer a real advantage over 3.6?

Did you click that stupid link that was posted on one of the threads here? If so it might have screwed up your comp. I know I clicked the link:mad: and it borked my comp for a bit.

This version 4.6.0076 is supposed to fix the worm problem also.
