Is it possible? Yes it is. Could I do it? Maybe, but I am not sure.
The monitor connection on the back is part of the laptop's motherboard and would do you no good. What you would have to do is build an adapter. You would have to find out the pin out of the screen's cable. Every model of laptop is different. I work on Dell Latitudes and the screens are totally different for a CPi and a CPx, two fairly closely related models. Then you would have to have to figure out how to power it. Some screens are DC, some are AC. With detailed knowledge and some soldering skills it is possible, in theory.

power for laptop is 12 volt dc
i'd really like to put this lcd to use, as its not doing anything in such an ancient laptop...
Would that laptop even support a resolution and number of colors that would be of any use at all?
The last no hard drive, dual floppy system I used was hooked to ao monochrome monitor.

may be monochrome, but it's better to be in my system than be sitting in a laptop that i don't want to use...and i'm not sure whether its color or not, but whatever the case, i'd like to use it.

man if you got that to work, i think it would be one
of the coolest things ever, having an LCD in the side
fo your case and all.
just out of curiosity, how much did it cost?

If you have an extra pci slot, you could add a chep 1mb video card to run it ( I may have one lying around here). Then just figure out the pin out of the vid card and the pin in of the lcd, hopefully they will both be compatible. How many wires are there going to the LCD?
