Storage CE

Do we have a backfill for a storage CE? Saw this post here:

Yes, it would; and no we don't have a storage CE. You're welcome to act as a roaming CE if you want. Just contact anyone you see with stuff that would make good FP material and if they're interested let us know so we can set them up with an account.

Alternatively, just bring it to our attention and we'll do that. Up to you. :)

Did anyone step up for this? I'm looking at writing a comprehensive guide for home file servers and was looking for suggestions/input and just generally running my ideas by someone.

No, I don't believe so. As far as I'm aware, it's still a vacant role. I'd be happy to assist, if I could help out.

Will do. I'm still compiling a list of sections that I'd like to add along with subtopics, so it might be a few days. I'm just getting tired of hand writing responses to "I want a file server". Having a definitive guide would be extremely convenient. I can send a rough draft now, if you want. I'll also take any suggestions that you have. I'm not sure when I'll start writing it.

Understood, and I agree...you'd certainly save some time by having a definitive guide (linked in your sig). Sure, send over the rough draft and/or drop it into WP when you get a moment. No rush, though.

I just put my outline out there. It is no way even close to what the end product will look like.

I'll see if I can start writing it today. I'm sure it will be terrible because I'll be working (technical support) at the same time.
