I have a boot meny that looks like:
1. Windows 2k
2. Older operativ systems
3. installation/uppgrading win2k

This happend after first trying to install win2k and after that installing win98. I had 2k before.

The thing is that I want to install win98, i managed to do this, but my boot menu is weird.

How can I fix this? I heard something about repair win2k installation, i looked there, didnt find anything..

Plz help..

When you dual boot, did you install 98 first then 2K?

Try a clean format again and do that, make sure in 2K your using the advanced install option and hoping you have two partitions as operating system don't get along in the same partition then it should create no problems.

Whether you can repair it or not depends on whether you created an Emergency Repair disk. if you did you should be able to get your original settings back. If not, you'll have to reformat and reinstall. If you want to dualboot, you'll need at least two partitions, and must install 98SE first.

If you just wan to fix the boot menue you can edit the boot.ini in c:\

It should have been win98 first then wink2k for the dual boot to happen... think there was an error during the win98 setup .... the previous oS is still win2k.... it can easily be removed by editing boot.ini
