ERROR: Option matching -relax:fastrelax_repeats not found in command line top-level context

http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/result.php?resultid=405165984

I added two machines to my garden (Not big enough to be called a farm. ;) ) Both started having problems with compute errors on about 1/3 of their work units. I was puzzled because I hadn't noticed anything like this on my other crunchers... until I checked them this morning. All seem to be having this problem. :(

I'm surprised not to see any mention of it here. Is anyone else seeing this on their crunchers? In all cases the other PC that runs this WU gets the same error so I presume it is a BOINC/Rosetta problem and not something with my H/W. (FWIW, only one of four machines is even overclocked and I have a mix of AMD and Intel processors in use.)

I have gotten a few of those and ones that say ran out of time.. Funny thing is the dates are 10 or 14 days away....

That's the error I get the most lately...And I have reset....

I ended up resetting to stock timing on this PC, hope I didn't damage my CPU....

I looked through the past 2 days worth of logs on my main rig and I haven't had anything fail yet.. though my queue was purged/updated like 3 days ago due to a BSOD restart that removed rosetta from my boinc list..

while sitting on this I ran into my garage and checked 2 of my 3 pc's out there and also see no failed units..

EDIT: going through R@H website task lists I do see my WinXP tablet failed a few.. its running stock SP3.. for that fact all of the errors I am finding in my list of tasks are coming from the tablet.. interesting

EDIT2: Looking through R@H message boards I see some others with these results and the mod said they could just be faulty on creation and have nothing to do with hardware/software/overclocks on the machines running them. Though with the frequency that a few are having its alarming! (Referring to Hanks Posting, overclockers.com hank!)

It was happening so often on mine that I went from 4.6Ghz backed it down to stock to see if it was my CPU somehow.... I now have a lot less errors, but I am crunching much less now too. So, IDK, we'll have to wait and see...

I saw some of those on one of the systems right after I added BOINC/Rosetta. After resetting the project, those didn't come back.

It's interesting to note that for the WUs with the compute error error, no other cruncher has successfully completed that particular WU. (Results are always either pending or the same compute error.)

Wow, just saw this thread. I was having massive problems out of the blue on both of my rigs. Tons of failed/stalled work units with no explanation, and multiple Prime95 tests revealed no hardware problems.

I finally detached from the project and reattached two days ago and so far everything is peachy.

I didn't do anything and the problem came and went a couple days later on everything I had running Rosetta.

Sometimes they send out botched tasks. I get random computation errors, and sometimes a lot on the same task name.

One thing though, Rosetta appears to be more stressful on a CPU on IBT. At least that's my experience with OC'ing an i7 950, 970 and 2600K.

At least that's my experience with OC'ing an i7 950, 970 and 2600K.That would not surprise me. my Phenom II was solid on Prime95 and Rosetta but running SETI resulted in about a dozen reboots/day. OTOH, an older Athlon that was solid on Prime95 would lockup within minutes on Rosetta. I try test with multiple programs to establish stability.
