Actually AMD had some comercials back when the athlon first came out. They didnt run too many of them though, not at all like intel.

I was going to freak out about paying more because of commercials, but it looks like they didn't spend a ton on it, so I'm happy.

God I hope not. I'm thinking the lack of these is one of the main reason why AMDs are so cheap compared to Intel.

Funny commercial though, I like it better than those Intel astro-whatever guys.

Yup I think I remember that one..... I know if I HAVE seen it before it was only once or twice, but it seems to me that I saw it at work (yes hard working US govt :rolleyes: ) Ya know come to think of it, I think I saw it right after the Ex absconded with our P1 166, and I had just bought a pIII667, which was actually not much better than my AMD 2 450.... ROFL I dunno if the AMD's are really faster, but I do know I can fry 3 AMD's for teh fry-price of one P-whatever... so there ya go..... my .02 Jim

Yeah, that commercial was played when the original Athlons were introduced. It's been at least an entire year (or more) ago since I've seen it. Has it been playing on TV lately? I haven't seen it since.

No, they wouldnt play it now because it compares the athlon the the P3, kinda out of date. Its nothing new thouhg. I remember seeing that comercial back along time ago. I think it was back in the days of the SLOT athlon. Really long time ago. I think i still had my PII 350 then.
