I'm going after my dream of building my first water block for my GF3. :D

I've done a rough estimate of the size of block or copper plating I will need, but have no idea where to get the size I need for a good price.

I'm either going to need a solid block of copper at least 120mmx95mmx15mm, and/or copper plates the same size and either 2 or 3 mm thick.

Anyone have any good places or suggestions of where to find some?

And a question that no one answered the last time I asked. Is it ok to solder aluminum to copper? If I go with the copper plates I was planning on useing some aircraft aluminum sheets I have and cutting them to use as the water blocks "maze" of inside walls.

Try "www.onlinemetals.com". They have copper plate to 1".

From what I hear it is tough to join Cu and Al but it can be done. I just din't know how.

Thanks! After looking through thier website, I found they have sheets of copper small enough to use as inner walls for the water block. I guess I dont need the aluminum anymore now. :)

onlinemetals.com and dangerden.com are good spots for metal. You can use the aluminum only if it is anodized first, otherwise you suffer from the battery effect. Post up pics of the block once it is done =). Doing an all-copper one (which you're now doing) is a better idea than a copper/aluminum hybrid, though.

And it will be totally copper. Even the solder I have is mostly copper. :D
