Go to Control Panel and click on Programs then click on uninstall a program and select Boinc and click uninstall...

If you don't like the BOINC screen saver you can select/choose another screen saver or you can select "none"...

I'm going to assume you're running windows. Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs("Programs and Features" in Vista/7) -> Select BOINC -> Uninstall. Afterwards, go to %AllUsersProfile% and delete the BOINC folder :)

To address your other issues, the screensaver is nuts? Do you mean it's behaving strangely, or you don't like it? You can disable it by simply selecting to use a different screensaver under Right click desktop -> Properties ("Personalise" in 7) -> Screen Saver.

Your pc is behaving funny? If you could elaborate a bit I could probably help :) Is it slow/unresponsive, or something else?

not that it is a bad idea to help out , But i would like to controll my pc unistall fearture ,, thats why i am asking ,, has anyone ever tried to uninstall Bionic

There might be a process or service that is running in the background that is stopping you from uninstalling it.

I would check there first.

Left click the BOINC Manager icon and Exit. Then uninstall. If you want all BOINC files off your machine you have to go to
C:\ProgramData\BOINC and
C:\Program Files\BOINC and delete those folders as well.
This is all you have to do.

everything is fine , we got the hang of it all now , my concern was my not understanding the screen saver , and not letting Bionic update to uninstall, ,, does that make sense , but that worked fine.
we are now setting up a small stand alone PC to run the programs for Rosetta.
our first plan was to learn how to overclock this motherboard.
