I plan to have up to 5 streams at one time as well as upload content while the streams are active. I have buffers set to max on the PCs and content usually does fine with one or two streams and an upload but I get some hesitation when I go much more than that. I have run 4 streames flawlesly with no upload so it is either an overstressed CPU, Bus or HDD is too slow performing simultanious read/write. I am currently running a G6950 with Win 7/64 UE.

I am also considering an upgrade to Home Server 2011.

What's the g6950 clocked at?

2.8 stock. It does 4.5 easy but where I have my server located at

I don't want to put the extra v into it because though I do have circulation it is not cool air and it is a stock HSF to boot.

No matter what CPU I use there will be no OC an perhaps a UV or UV and UC.

Well investigating this leads me to a conclusion. I need 3 drives in this machine. Boot, storage and another 2TB for writing to. I can have it setup to sync the drives one time a week.
