View Full Version : What are the hazards of cheap LCD cleaners?
I would like to know what are the hazards of cheap LCD screen cleaners. I was given one, which costs about 1.20$, and I think that I shouldn't clean my screen with it.

Really depends. Are the ingredients listed?
No, only the cloth material, which is 80% Polyester fiber and 20% Polymide fiber... No details about what's in the bottle whatsoever. :/
I also checked in their website, but there was no information too. The website isn't in English... It's made in China, website's in Russian, so Google translator helps here.
Sounds very suspicious judging from the price and the makers to me.

I use a mix of 50/50 92 percent iso alchohol, and distilled water with microfiber. Recommended by AVS forums, I clean my $2300 TV with it...looks great after 2 years. NO scratches.

I use the monster screen clean junk. The cheap stuff leaves streaks like windex knockoffs do.
