Hi everyone, I'm about ready to pull the trigger on my first SSD and I was looking for a 120G one. What I have available here is the Intel 120GB X25-M which is kinda old tech but reliable according to my research and we also have the G.Skill Phoenix Evo Series 115GB which was just released and it has virtually no reviews online.

I'm leaning towards the G.Skill as its newer and should be faster?? but with the lack of reviews out there I'm kinda scared of getting screwed.

I'm going to swing by the shop tomorrow after work so I really want to make up my mind by then.

Thanks!

EDIT:
Just found out that the Vertex II 120G is also in my price range and the Intel 320 120G is also there although I will have to stretch a bit.
So now its a 4 way battle between:
G.Skill Phoenix Evo 115G
OCZ Vertex II 120G
Intel X25-M 120G
Intel 320 120G

Thoughts?

I would recommend going with the Intel 320. It is an updated, faster version of the X25-M.

The Phoenix Evo is a slower version of the Phoneix Pro, because it uses 8 25nm NAND chips versus the Phoienix Pro, which uses 16 34nm NAND chips.

The Vertex 2 will either be equal to the Phoenix Pro or the Phoenix Evo, depending on what NAND it uses, 34nm or 25nm.

The Vertex 2 and the Phoenix Pro/Evo are basically the same drives with different stickers on and possibly different NAND.
