Has anyone ever played fallour or fallout 2? I just got both of them in a single double CD pack. I played it and it seems like a cool RPG for 10 bucks, not to mention it was 2 games. Its from back in the Direct X 3.0 days, thats the version it came with, haha, did anyone used to play this game? if so is it multiplayer? is it long, good, fun? im basically asking for a review from the past.

I LOVED fallout 2...
incredible game...
it's got the main Quest, with TONS of mini quests... saving ppl, assasinating ppl, winning a boxing tournement...
and it's not linear...
for example the boxing turnement u can win using normal skill, or u can get a pair of boxing gloves with steel plates and cheat your way through,
character is cool too, and dialog is great depending on your intellegence karma charisma everything ppl treat u differently..
it starts kinda slow, but when u start getting power armor and auto shotguns(jackhammer) miniguns, flame throwers grens, and u start gibbing characters the game becomes much more fun...
I deffinately say u give it a shot..
I think that Fallout 1 was one of the best RPG games ever. 2 was really good but 1 was even better, the story was cool, the characters and voice acting were actually pretty good- MacGyver is one of the voices!- and you can play it a couple of different ways before you see everything.
Ottoman knows what's up, you should give it a shot!

Awesome games
I never really made it all the way through f2, but the first one was a blast to beat, and actually pretty easy to do as well.
I you need help getting started, I would go with 1 first, because to me anyway, 2 starts WAY slow, and is more difficult. In one, I would suggest tagging small guns, energy weapons, and another of choice. I usually play with gifted on, so I set agility and perception to both about 8, strength 6 or 7 (usually 6, the power armor raises strength, if you can't find it there are sites that explain how to get it) endurance 5, luck 5, charisma, 5 or 6, and intelligence about as high as you can get it.
To me anyway, this is the most efficient way to actually beat the entire game. The way to do it is to get your weapon skills REALLY high, so you can get eyeshots (so cool) all the time.
have fun
