View Full Version : Lite-on cd-rw
o.k need some opinions.
Looking at Newegg.com they have a 32x12x40 cd-rw for $95
and a Blk one 24x10x40 for $90.Which 1 should I get? The blk 1 will look better in my case being its blk,but if the 32x is better drive I won't mind it being white.I'm reading there is not much of a diff from the 24x to the 32x exp the rw speeds.
Thanks

i had the same deal but with a plextor 24x/10x/40x and a 40x/12x/40x and i got the 24x because it's cheaper and i 24x has the same fetures as the 40x but slower and i don't need that extra 45 seconds

45seconds? lol i highly doubt thats that much difference between a 40x and a 24x... 40x dont go 40x till the end of the cd.. they spin 24x and finish off 40x.. so theres not much difference, id say maybe 30seconds at the most.
Thanks but,I'm like that guy in the t.v. commercial with the voltswagon on his head !! For $5 more I get a somewhat faster cd-rw and for $5 less I get a blk one.I've read all the reviews and there is not much of a differance exp the 12x rw speed.Just don't
know which 1 to get.

Get the 32x one, its great, or even wait for the 40x Liteon which will be out very soon
in 45 seconds you can think an invention and become a millionaire, so go for it
Cooler666 do you have the 32x?
I know the 40x's are coming but I have a yamaha 8x and to burn a 700mb disk is 12min.Not bad but I want a faster one that has burn proof teck.
Well thanks to all that replied ! i went with the 32x,What the heck it was only $5 more.
