If I was forced to play a video game in a prison, I'd enjoy every second of it.

I am sure it would not be a fun time. But there are worse punishments. Not many though, if its WOW they have to play.

Do you think they get punished if the use bots. :comp:

I remember reading a article about this a while ago. It was not a jail, they were gettin gpaid but they showed a image of their sleeping quarters and it was sad, it was bunk beds shuved into these tiny tiny rooms..... tragic...i wonder what they get paid ?

Like thideras said, if i was in jail and they made me play wow i would be quite content, even though farming gold for a few years may get quite boring ahaha

it does say in that article that they were forced to play until they couldnt see anything anymore, then rest was allowed.

That's pretty crazy!!!!! I can't say that I would mind, but then again I have never played WOW

I think I'd rather be put on death row than be forced to play WoW...

In CA you'd be alive for 40 years before they killed you so if you enjoy those odds... lol

no it's not like that, but the time and effort you have to put in it to really become someone is huge.

i quit playing after my 100th nerdrage in arenas, and i would get headache after 2-3 hours of farming, so imagining those guys farming nearly all day makes me sad.

Bah world is just full of crap sometimes

This is just pathetic. They may be making a decent amount of money for slave labor, but WoW? Really? Has the world come to this?

I bet Diablo2 is one of those "unnamed games". The spam sites are all based out of Korea or China somewhere. It is a horrible thing and amazing how bad this ruins a game economy too.

It would ruin a game like WoW's economy from vanilla. Now, however, it's so easy to make gold in that game that it has no visible effect.

Not that I support it, mind you, just that it no longer has any real effect on it.

I was thinking more of the items in D2 that are sold on the websites. Runes, uniques, etc. The trade economy in a game like Diablo2 is gone because of it.

Similar to how it was in FFXI (I didn't play it but read that the gil-RMT stuff destroyed the economy/made huge inflation).

I wouldn't be able to stand playing WoW just farming the same thing over and over and over. I did it when I had something to work for (potions/materials/etc) but just to be sold and not get anything out of it? And you know they are most likely using hacked accounts as well...

It's like in matrix.

Do you think they use CRT or LCD monitors?

how are they prisoners? Here I have to work my butt off just to pay my bills and never have time to enjoy playing my favorite games. Yet they get a place to stay and 3 meals a day to play games. lol

Playing games is fun to us because we can do it whenever we feel like it. I disagree with the 'it'd be fun to play games all the time' and the 'id be quote content' comments. It's disgraceful. WoW or not, being FORCED to play games CONSTANTLY and being beaten if you don't meet a certain requirement is repulsive. It is very sad indeed.

Some of you say it'd be nice and be fine to do, but I'm sure when you actually get put in that position, you'd hate it. Like I said, we get the freedom to choose when we play, which makes it fun. When choice is taken out of ANYTHING it doesn't become fun anymore. Just like any job; if you hate your job, but need money but don't have any other means of getting another job; it's not fun is it?

Of course some people love their jobs, but I'm just saying, when the choice is removed, the fun is lost.

I seriously hope the sarcasm was visible in my post.
