Im currently in the midst of building a watercooling system for my WAYYY to hot AMD TBird Cpu (Idle temp is 45C, bad fan ;p).

Anyway, I was wondering what type of coolant would be the best. I was going with regular tap water before I thought about the minerals that might deposit in the pump, tubes, etc. So I figured i'd get some distilled water to run through my system since not only is distilled water "pure" it doesn't conduct electricity. Any advices? Thanks.

Distilled Water (Store Bought) is 99% pure. It will still conduct electricity, until it is 100% (only in VERY CLEAN AND HIGH TECH LABS). It will work fine... still if you get it on your boards, their toasted.

I used 80% distilled water and 20% anti-freeze.

I bought a gallon jug of distilled water and added 4 oz. of water wetter to it. At the rate it's going, it'll outlast me. Seems to do a good job, but I really haven't tried anything else.

I used distilled water, a product called "Engine Kool" as a waterwetter, and a small amount of pump conditioner.
