OK, i got a Migraine of a question I'm hoping someone can help with...

I have a decent size LCD I scavenged from a laptop..(working perfectly) I need to find out the PIN configuration on this thing because I'd like to use it for either a view screen for my car..(keep the little one entertained with cartoons on long trips)..OR....I'm going to use it in a Side panel mod on my case and want to figure out if I can hook it to my 8500's DVI OUT.

The #'s on the LCD are as follows:

SHARP
LQ10D013

it's got a 28 pin connection, I have all the wires and plugs, just need to know whats what...

sharp had no info I could find and I've searched everywhere, I'd really like to use it for the case mod :D :D or...the car... so I need the info on it.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Sharp doesn't make the LCD's, just resell them. Try looking inside for a mfg or model number. Find the schematics if you can.

Take the model of the laptop, cantact the laptop manufacturer and try to get some part numbers for the components within. Then go to the manufacturer of the lcd screen, with part number in hand, and ask them for a pin out. That's all I can suggest.

heh heh.....way ahead of ya...thats why i dismantled the whole thing......it was an old toshiba laptop/portable....toshiba had a part number which cross referenced to the Sharp number....I got a hold of a sharp tech, he's actually looking into it for me, told me that its an older LCD, but should work for what i want it to do since it can display 800x600...he said it would be great used as a TV display and that I *should* be able to connect it to my 8500's DVI output.....now I have to wait to see if he can get me the schematics...Unless someone else can dig something up, he couldn't gaurantee he'd be able to get me any documentation...:eh?: thats why I'm here hoping someone *may* have some sort of experience or a conntact to get some info from...
