anybody have any input to WHY i would need this? or which one i would need? i have a SB AUdigy Platinum w/ it connected to my home stereo system (Kenwood 3090 reciever w/ 2 floor speakers w/ 15's) no surround sound. Would the gold be fine? or should i go all the way to the platinum?

ya, that one shoud be fine, u only need the nicer one if u are super rich or sound is your life. i mean, i am perfictly happy with my Yamaha 6.99 sound card
