Many of us here are experienced IT professionals and many others here aspire to work in the IT industry.
I've noticed many questions in the General forums and even the MS forum on IT career advice, certifications, and work-related IT questions. Maybe it would be nice to have a dedicated forum for such topics--that way these threads would become more visible to the community and attract more replies.
Just a thought..

I would be very interested in this, currently working towards a BS-->MS in Computer Science.

+1 good idea. It would be slow but helpful to the community.

Slow section, but helpful..Agree. Though there are some professionals in here, most appear to be just younger overclockers playing games.
There are better forums for this IMHO.

??? Some URLs ???... ;)
I'd be interested in a section like this. Heck, being in the field for more than a decade now makes me an old timer. :p

That isnt the worst site for it.... :)
I wonder if this would come under a broader "career discussion" umbrella?
We could include some community aspects to this ("what do you do?") as well as covering the certifications, qualifications, perhaps even job postings.
My only issue would be the level of activity.

Agreed with David, while it is a good idea I'm not sure how much activity it would get. I myself am an IT professional (ohio state medical center) as well though and wouldn't mind discussing how other people are doing things.

overclockers.com has a linkedin profile for that kinda stuff.. might think about joining that and posting and such.
I am an IT pro at the children's hospital of philadelphia.. lots of jobs here for IT folks, though mostly EPIC certs needed.

Think this is a good idea. I would love to ask some other people what they use for this or that. It's nice to see how others do things.
