So you've written an article and now you want someone else to put their eyes on it? GREAT! There is a very easy way to get everyone's attentions without leaving the Edit Post page. What you want to look for are the Notification Subscriptions and Editorial Comments boxes. Each article can have their own thread of editorial comments right on the Edit Post page so everyone can easily stay up to speed on exactly where the article is in the editorial process.
If you don't see the Notification Subscriptions box or the Editorial Comments box on the page, click the "Screen Options" at the top right of the page. Then make sure both of those have check marks next to them (sorry forgot to put a red box around Editorial Comments, but its the first one in the top left).

then scroll down and place a check next to Content Editors, Lead Editors, and Proof Readers. This will subcribe all of the people in those groups to get notifications that Comments have been left. You are already subscribed to your own articles by default.

Then leave an Editorial Comment and it will automatically email all of the people in those groups, notifying them about your comment and that you want your article checked.

Each new comment that is posted will automatically send out a new notification, too.
