Now that I've got it working, how does one holster the weapon? You could do it in FO3. People are shooting @ me who shouldn't be and I assume its because I looks threatening and such with my varmint rifle.

Press that weapon's hot-key again. Or un-select it in your PipBoy weapon menu.

What would the hotkeys for the weapons be? I didnt get the manual. Steam.

According to the 2nd link, hold X.

As well, you should be able to access the manual by right clicking on the game in your Steam list, and choosing "View player manual". If it's not there, here's a direct link

I played FO3. I'm aware of how rock solid Bethesda's engine and continuity are. I look forward to exploring up to 100 hours of glitchy goodness. I've already been attacked by geckos and praying mantises so things are off to a good start.

Hey where the heck is the dude who runs the Mojave exchange in Primm? I'm supposed to ask him about my courier job. Can't find him. Damn wastelanders keep shooting at me.

I can't help but wonder if I may have shot him accidentally. I'm very trigger happy..

I noticed that in FO3.
Why buy stuff from the store when you can just 'remove the shopkeep from the equation' and take it?

Doesn't always work that way. A lot of times if you kill the shopkeeper you cannot loot the same things he sold if any of it.

When you're leaving Goodspring, the place where you start off at, start walking East from there and when you get to the valley to your left you'll see New Vegas and to your right there should be a rollercoaster looking thing in the distance, Primm is the fenced off town the rollercoaster is in.

I found the guy. Went to Novak as instructed. Jerk in the dinosaur won't tell me where to find buddy in the checkered shirt unless I kill ghouls at some power station. Did that. Some other jerk told me to meet him at the top of some metal stairs in there but I need a key and I can't find it... I'd like to kill the dinosaur guy but then I won't get any information...

Nah Manny is the one that gives that boring Ghoul quest, Boone comes out to play at night. I went on a New Vegas binge about a month ago about logged 50-60 hours in one week. I can't stand to look at it anymore. I did a playthrough with melee weapons and power armor, then I did a stealth sniper.

Have fun while it lasts man, pretty soon you'll realize that the game isn't even a challenge on very hard.

pessimist!!. I already threw 100 hours into FO3. I know it isn't hard. It's just cool.

K 1 more question, it won't let me save my controls settings. If I change the controls it says no device selected can not save and then the next time I play the controls are default again. I log into windows as a guest and my savegames are under guest.

control/video settings are saved to a text file, if the game was installed on another person's account your guest account probably only has read only access to that file.
