After Binarysuperman came up with the cool idea of making you own custom fan grills, I decided to make one myself. This one here is just a prototype that I made while eating supper tonight. I’m going to make a few changes to my next one. I also got a few other designs that I’m going to try out tomorrow. Here’s a pic. I scanned it as soon as the paint was dry. Not bad for my first one, huh. :D
I think it'd block airflow, but it'd look damn cool doing it!
That is pretty sweet there... I would have to agree with Oni there... I would wonder if it would block some of the wind. What I would try is put some holes in the skull - likes bullet holes, or cracks or something... to open it up more but stay with the design... very nice...

Yeah, airflow is restricted just a little bit, but not much. It’s barely even noticeable. But I’m going to put some holes in my next one. I just didn’t have time to do it last night. I might shrink the skull some too.

It’s made out of ¼” titanium and I used a plasma cutter. Jk hehe :D
Ok, the skull is the letter K from the SkullZ font I have. I then printed it out and made a stencil of it. Next I traced it out on a piece of plexiglas and cut it out with a scroll saw. After a little a little work with the dremel, I heated up the plexiglas and bent the bones down so it would look like a real fan grill. After that, I drilled the four holes and painted it. It might seem a little complicated, but actually it wasn’t hard to do at all. :)
