Howdy,

I'm a part of the Overclockers Australia folding effort - just a couple of teams up from you guys ;)

I just wanted to let you know of a little competition we run over at OCAU - the Fastest Folding Machine. Basically, we choose a protein and list our best time's for folding them using Foldmonitor's log file.

Come on over and check it out (http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?s=&postid=222096#post222096)* - the competition is open to all F@H2 teams. Not that your times would stand a chance against our overclocked beasties...

* you will need to be registered to the forums to check out the link

I have but one home. And this (www.overclockers.com) is it.

blah....it's not like their asking you to join their team. I often surf through their forums to see what's going on over there. I would post my results over there(i would currently be #7 in your list with my system below) but it won't let me post a reply. I've posted about 5 replies over there in other threads already but all of a sudden i can't anymore. I'm registered and everything. Maybe you could hook me up with one of the mods over there or something?

OCAU is a friendly team. We still need to catch them though.

BTW. WHat happened over there? I lost my login name before and had to re register. I did it a few weeks or month or whatever ago, but just wondered. anyway... checking it out now. I appear to be in the top 20 with 1 machine and in the top 30 with several others. :D

There was a forum crash last year and everything from September - December was lost. If you registered within this period you will have to register again.

I am not asking you to change your allegience, nor your home. This challenge has been thrown down to the [H] as well. Just a bit of friendly competition :)

BTW, you will have to beat this on our current protein if you want 1st position!:

Damn, and it is summer over here so I am running at 1533 instead of the 1554 when I posted my time :(

I need a bigger heatsink to squeeze out a few more Mhz to reclaim my spot !!!!!

Creative is no longer in the top position. We've Taken the 199 seconds per frame award, and it goes to wing with 1860mhz.

Creative has 1806, and i've got 1812 (still benching). The above score was taken at 1799mhz.

With an equivalent fan it will cool better than a thermalright SK6. But this one comes with a less powerful fan and a rheostat, for less noise. Plus a mate retails them, so I get my hands onto it for $ instead of $

ATM I just have a stock Volcano 6cu

Edit: used smaller images

Hitman, all you gotta do is change the email address on the present account to some throwdown address, like abc@123.net, then you can create a new user name with your real email address. Hope this helps.

Keep folding man. As soon as i can get the nerve to unlock the voltage on my chip then i think i'll be able to hit 1700mhz(this is uncertain whether i'll do this with this chip since i'm selling it and frankly don't have the nerve since i am selling it). You're getting close man but i think the XP's fold just a little bit faster than the t-birds. Not much faster but i think they beat them by just a little bit mhz for mhz. Fold on everyone.

yea from what I have seen it takes an extra 10 mhz for a tbird to match xp.

seriously though, you really should get an Alphal Pal 8045T or water cooling if you wanna play with the big boys.....i would take up the challenge but unfortunatley intel never really has a chance when it comes to folding......

alpha's are good but their problem is that they don't fit every board. swiftech mcxc 370 is much better it will fit any board and cools better to boot.

Ya i get them all the time. They take forever compared to the other ones. My AMD handles them fine but my intel one struggles a little with them.

Well, I went and listed my 1.26S rig in the fastest folders thread, looks like it will make the list for both the villin and GNRA hairpins, definitely the fastest of the Intel rigs. It looks like #16 position for the villin and #18 position for a GNRA hairpin.

Kaliban, be sure they update so that the people that are folding with Intel rigs see that they aren't hopelessly outclassed.

Let's use this page to show everyone that Team 32 is a force to be reckoned with! Even though I'm a relative newbie to folding, (been doing it for about 4 weeks now) I'm one of the fastest guys on the Aussie's page. Let's get more names from team 32 up there, I know I'm not the fastest that we have!

if your not the fastest folder here you are very close. there maybe faster but eithier their not folding or can't keep heat under control at those speeds. I have the fastest Tbird over there I just need to get an XP. Tbird's just can't compete with the newer stepping of the xp's

I have an XP1800 and a Soltek SL-75DRV5 on the way. They will replace the T-Bird 1000@1333/Iwill KA266RAID combo in my watercooled box. Time to crank up a few more MHz!.

The T-Bird will go down the food chain in my house and will likely replace a C2-600@900, which will probably replace a Dual P2-350 dedicated folder. And so on, and so on...

If I can get the XP over 1800, I will be very happy. :)
