I'm looking to get a new undertaking off the ground this month, starting with OCF. CDP stands for Community Development Program, and it's a project intended to enable members to make changes and improvements to the site.

If you can code or hack or want to try and learn, we'll have a place for you if you want to sharpen your skills or try your hand at making a cool new feature or plugin on the forum.

If this is something that you think may interest you, ask any questions you have, and once we have it ready I'll be sure to give you a heads up.

I got a real good idea how this can be organised too! ;)

Basically just need a base template source code for a 'theme' or 'skin' whatever they call it with vB, along with the source for any previously installed plugins.
Something like that, would be relitivly safe too seeing as it is just another theme that can be thrown in as an option and tested before it's made default (if that happens)

Even for noobs its pretty easy to do this stuff if you look close at what you are doing. A lot of it is self explained.
Below is a good example, for anyone to get an idea of what gets changed with these mods very briefly.

Sux vB is closed source though, can't post their files like that.

I could provide a pre-built but wiped clean version of what I have as a VMware 'appliance' (as it is totally open source) for people to experiment with locally, but that would probably not help the forum here much.
