Couldn't resist, bought the PIV 1.6A and Asus P4B266-C from newegg and put together last night. Lapped the heat sink and used ASII. Running @ 133fsb is giving me a 2.133 GHz machine.

Right off the bat I noticed PCprobe said 40c. I rebooted into my bios and it said 40c. I changed to 100fsb and PCprobe still said 40. Installed MBM5 and it says 29 deg idle, 48 deg full load w/prime 95. Once prime 95 starts running and gets it past 40, PCprobe picks up the temps accurately.

Anyone else have this problem? Sounds like a bios glitch. On a side note, this setup rocks!

I have p4b266 and 1.6A o'c to 2.7G pcprobe said 40c also. I used stock heatsink with delta fan. When I back down to 1.6G and pcprobe said 40c also. Right now I run at 2.655G very stable and the temperature still at 40c.
