Good for a gaming PC?

Low-profile heatspreaders are fine with DDR3 as it doesn't get particularly warm (even the 1.65V models).

The ones you linked are alright, although you're overpaying for the low voltage.
If the PC is just for gaming then you already have a decent kit, so you probably don't need to upgrade.

These would perform identically and they're cheaper:

If you're grabbing RAM for the system in your sig you can go with 12GB for not much more than the Corsair kit you linked:

Note that for a gaming system, 8GB is more than enough for the foreseeable future.

Memory speed doesn't make much of a difference really (at least for Intel right now), and 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 seems to be fine:

Cas 9. He linked Cas 8 so his would be faster :chair:
hence the slightly higher price. And the voltage. Lower voltage is good though. Less stress on the IMC. Uses less electricity (not that RAM uses a significant amount to begin with) and does not warm up as much.

(sorry too lazy to hit back, cut paste, quote, etc atm.)

I agree with both of these points, except that for gaming CAS8 makes almost zero difference (see the link at the bottom of my post above), and DDR3 RAM doesn't really heat up at 1.5V at all, so there's no functional difference between the kits.

Other than the price. :)
