Ok I'm thinking of building another watercooled rig and was wondering. Which is better a Z4 or the DangerDen Maze2. The video card block will be the CNC machined video Aqua Sink from overclockershideout.

well the new Z4 /12" barbs is said to be very bad.. i have the 3/8" version, it works aight, but u need a really good rad and a good pump to get good temps.

if you get DDen id get the mas2-2 (i think it is) so u can add a pelt later on if you would like.

I'll be going with the 3/8" ones. Cause the rad I want is 3/8". It`s the same as the one in my Fiancee rig and she has two 120mm fans on it. As for the pump most likely it will be a Rio 400 or Rio 600.

the rio 400 wont have enough flow.. u need the 600 or 800. the 800. the 800 ports will fit the 3/8" tubing perfect, but its a lil big.

This guy didn't like the Z4:

So far I am not even sure it is worth mounting but I will later. This block is pathetic in alsmost every way. The only thing I give them a thumbs up on is the actuall milling. It is done well inside and out. BUT that dosn't mean it will work. The first flaw I noticed is it has the 1/2" barbs on this one. These barbs cover a channel and a half!!! You can look down the hole and see one full channel and 1/2" of the one next to it. That just cannot be good. And the channels are tiny which I expected, but I thought they where deep to make up for the lack of width but they are not deep either. 1/2" barbs will be totally worthless in any respect. Why they would sell them with 1/2" barbs even on a custom order is just rediculous. 1/4" barbs is what they need to stick with ONLY as any wider and is exposes the other channels beside it. I can't think that is good for flow. The bottom is epoxieed on with 4 screws for support which is ok. The barbs are also epoxed on and are definatly leakless.

yea i got a Z4 a few months ago, and im getting heavy mineral buildup on my block. so i emailed them 3 weeks ago, still no answer, so i singed up to there message board, and i asked, they told me that some of the Z4 blocks with mailed out with "there were a few blocks released initialy that had raw alulminum fittings." as OUTLAW said from there. which is crap, im really ****ed now. i payed 45 freaking bucks, and ive had to go through 2 sets of tubing cuz that buildup.. i asked them if they'd send me a new block, so im waiting on that reply.

I guess after all this I will get the Maze2. Is the OverclockersHideout video card any good?

it looks very good, altho ive never tryed it. id just get whatever u liked better, altho im getting a lil weay of ochideout after there perforance and the problems ppl and i have having..

OUTLAW says i have to send them the block so they can look at it, and see if they'd send me a new one... thats bs.. i cant wait 3 weeks for them to pull that, if they wont send me the block first i may just ask for my money back.
